Dr. Ellen Tart-Jensen

Dr. Ellen Tart-Jensen is a founding member, former President, and Diplomate Instructor of the International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA), with over 35 years of experience in iridology and natural health education.

Dr. Ellen Tart-Jensen is a graduate of Appalachian State University, the University of New Mexico, Westbrook University, Open International University, and the American Institute of Integrative Medicine. She has studied and worked in the field of Iridology, Nutrition, and Natural Healing Methods for 35 years. She was one of the initial founders of the International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA) and is a certified Diplomate IIPA Instructor. Having taught numerous classes with Dr. Bernard Jensen, she is certified to teach iridology and has signed certificates for him. For two years, Tart-Jensen studied natural healing methods at the Prasura Natural Health Clinic in Switzerland. For seven years, she wrote articles, edited books, analyzed iris slides, traveled, and lectured with Dr. Bernard Jensen. Tart-Jensen taught Iridology at Howard Medical University and directed a research study on Iris Signs and Diabetes for Winston Salem State University and Howard Medical University. She has a busy practice, Lifestyle Counseling Services, where she uses a state-of-the-art, high-powered digital camera to photograph eyes. She receives iris photographs by e-mail from around the world to be analyzed.
Ellen served as President of the International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA) for seven years and continues to serve on the Certification and Standards Committee and as Advisor to the Board of Directors. In 2012, she was presented with the Iridologist of the Year Award by IIPA and, in 2015, the Master Iridologist Award by the Taiwan International Iridology Medical Association (TIIMA).
In 2022, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from IIPA for her lifetime of research, work, and service to Iridology. She taught iridology and nutrition for the Health Educators Program at the world-renowned Hippocrates Institute in Florida for ten years.
She has lectured and taught classes to chiropractors, nurses, homeopaths, acupuncturists, medical doctors, psychologists, opticians, teachers, and laypeople. Tart-Jensen is the Owner and President of Infinite Iris, Inc./Bernard Jensen International.
She worked together with her deceased husband, Former President Art Jensen, carrying on his father, Bernard Jensen’s work for 30 years. She teaches classes in Iridology, Nutrition, Naturopathy, and Herbology for many schools and students throughout the world.
Ellen is the author of Health Is Your Birthright – How to Create the Health You Deserve, Through the Eyes of the Masters, A History of Iridology, Techniques in Iris Analysis, Balancing Body Chemistry through Iridology and Nutrition, The Simplified Guide to Iridology, Bodyworks, and Very Ginger. She has also created many instructional DVDs and CDs on iridology, nutrition, natural health for children, and cleansing.
